Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage patients with a variety of rheumatologic conditions, including but not limited to rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, and gout.
• Conduct thorough histories, physical examinations, and order/interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work, imaging, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, recommending infusions, physical therapy, or lifestyle modifications.
• Monitor treatment progress and adjust care plans as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians and specialists, to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and disease management strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements and practice policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and staff training.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• MD with Rheumatology Fellowship completed; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
• Active and unrestricted state medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Strong clinical skills in musculoskeletal examination and autoimmune disease management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with infusion therapies and biologic medications.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
