Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage patients with a variety of rheumatologic conditions, including but not limited to rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, and gout.
- Conduct thorough histories, physical examinations, and order/interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work, imaging, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, recommending infusions, physical therapy, or lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor treatment progress and adjust care plans as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians and specialists, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and disease management strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements and practice policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and staff training.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- MD with Rheumatology Fellowship completed; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
- Active and unrestricted state medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Strong clinical skills in musculoskeletal examination and autoimmune disease management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with infusion therapies and biologic medications.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
